Fold project got an opportunity to present an exhibition of our folded concepts at the Helsinki Design Week 2023. The event was distributed to various locations around Helsinki and Fold project’s exhibition – Folded Futures – was built at the main event location at Merikortteli, Punavuori.
Folded Future presented product concepts utilising folded structures designed during the two year project. The presented solutions consisted of packaging materials and interior design solutions as well as experiments with different folded structures and materials.
The presented concepts were divided to four main categories: e-commerce packaging concepts, product packaging concepts, interior product concepts such as lighting and space dividers and reuse ideas for the folded materials. The idea was to show the potential of folded materials from various scales from small material samples to folded exhibition wall structures.
The exhibition presented different reuse ideas for folded materials, packaging concepts for premium products and interior products such as space dividers.
